I was going to make a big deal on the forum when the 8926 came, but wilfreb beat me to it! (Great post by the way, be sure you see his pics!) So now I gotta change the game plan in the huddle. We all have our Legend story, mine began well over a year ago, and it took me that long to pull the trigger. The design is classic diver and has been produced and replicated by every company from Rolex to Rawlings (as in the baseball). I could not have been more thrilled as I opened the box and set it on my wrist for the first time, protective plastic still on. If you don't have one yet, there's a reason why they're so popular as you'll see when you put it on and wear it around for a few minutes...or years. One thing I'm really impressed with is the engraved "INVICTA" on the inside of every link, which are sturdy and tight. It really has the feel of a watch that I can play rough with, I love it! Of course, the lume is...well, it sucks, plainly. But the water around Long Island is so murky, you'd need indiglo to see anything underwater anyway. . . . Just to continue the scalloped/coin-edge bezel debate: My other ProDiver has the coin edge and here I opted for the scalloped. I can really feel the difference, the coin is definitely easier to operate, especially when the watch is wet. But something about the scalloped on the black and steel just fits together real nice.... Anywho, thanks for reading this far, hope I was able to bring back fond memories (for wilfreb, anyway!) or inspire those who haven't yet experienced The Legend!

I'll spare you the shots of me testing the water resistance in the shower...

the 8926 is a watch that is hard to beat. the scalloped bezel looks great BTW, I tend to gravitate toward scalloped bezels myself:thumbup1:
