hey guys.

i have a bulova accutron gemini and i'm having an issue with it.

I've owned it for 3 years now and a little less than a year ago, there was a screw that went loose inside the case. I took it in for warranty and it was fixed.

fast forward a year later, it's happened again... not impressed...

is this a common problem with accutrons or automatics in general?

once this thing is out of warranty, I'm not goign to be happy forking over a couple hundred bucks every year to have a screw tightened.

Wow, not good! Personally, I don't have experience with Bulova's newer automatics. Since they no longer produce movements in-house, I think your movement would either be a Citizen or Swiss movement. Shouldn't happen in either. Perhaps you should contact Bulova directly, explain the problem and ask for a replacement - assuming it is still in warranty.

yes, it would be an automatic, swiss movement.

going to raise a stink at the store i bought it from when i take it in for repair this week.

As I said in my post, I would now deal directly with Bulova, requesting a new replacement.
