I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this.. but here goes...

On Monday of last week my watch collection was stolen out of my home. It was a small one but it had some good stuff for sure. Three were family heirlooms...

Anyway, here is the question, and I know it's a long shot. Is anybody know where I could purchase an Inlaid Enamel Square in Green Gold? Mine was from 1926. The second hand was on the 6.

I have never ever seen one of these for sale so I thought I would check here. It doesn't have to be, and preferably wouldn't be, in great shape, just something that is still within restoration range.

Thanks again for any help anyone can offer. Looks like I'll be scouting pawn shops here in the Chicago area for some time to come.

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark. Welcome to the Forum. I'm sorry to hear that your collection was stolen from your home.

Some members here probably have one similar to what you're looking for but you may not be able to pry it out of their hands for love or money. If you are looking for a watch that specific, it will likely take some time to locate. Honestly, the best way to find one would probably be eBay. It has the highest volume of transactions and greatest range of models to choose from. It will simply take time and patience for the exact model you want to show up at auction.

It's such a scarce version, that it will be very hard to replace. Maybe once a year one is listed on ebay. If you have the serial number of the case and movement and it shows up there, you may be able to state your case to ebay to get it back.

That's a real bummer about your collection............:crying:

Whenever I get a new unit in, I'll write the description & # on the auction ticket with the date or on paper.
Someday, I'll make up a master list with copies, one copy here and one with a relative for safe keeping....
