I've bought a L2.666.4.78.3 and when I look at the movement on the back it looks different to what I expect to see. Does anyone have this watch and can provide a picture? Is this a good way to identify fakes?

On the watch database it says the movement is L602, but this one is L693.2. Does that make sense?

This picture from a prominent on-line retailer seems to show the L693.2 movement although the write up says it has the L602. Maybe Longines did a switch.

yeah it occurred to me they just changed the movement while this watch was being produced.

Is it possible you have a Longines Clous de Paris Power Reserve and not the watch you think? The movement you have is supposed to be used in this watch. By the way, there are many pictures available on the internet for these movements.

I really don’t think so. Here is a similar watch for sale and it is classified as being sold with documents.

It seems to depend on where you look. Some references indicate the watch you have, L2.666.4.78.3, comes with the L693.2 movement.

Thanks for looking into it. That was what I found too. Is this something that often happens with watches? That there can be swaps of movement? Or misinformation on so many websites?
