Hi, Does anybody know if a 10L movement will fit in a watch originally housing a 30L?
My year 1959 sub seconds Longines needs a better movement.
No or very few 30L's around but I have located several nice 10L movements.
If I buy a 10L can I just pop it in the 1959 case?

If I'm reading Ranfft's stats correctly, the 10L is 6.7mm smaller in diameter than the 30L. Even if you could keep the smaller movt. centered properly, the winding stem wouldn't be long enough.

I located and bought what looks like a nice clean 30L movement.
After my watchmaker cleans and installs it I might post a photo on the Longines forum.
