I do find it strange that all the Bulova accutrons (my interest) state. Working and keeping time well, may need new battery. But, multiple photos at different angles all show the second hand at the exact same position. Obviously the watches are not working.
I will be visiting at the weekend with a case key and a set if my own batteries. Only then would I be bidding.

Would hate to make a purchase only to find the watch has been converted to quartz.

It would appear that none of the accutrons are working.
Despite the auction listing description.
But, they have allowed me to go in and open each watch, insert a new battery and test them.
At least I can do that much. If anyone has a request to test a particular watch then just let me know.

Finally got a chance to examine some of the Bulova's.
Removed the back and swapped out the battery and checked function.
All of the watches are in average/poor condition. Very dirty straps and cases.
All had 344 cells but none were working with them.
Most restarted once I replaced the cells.
A few of the batteries had leaked, corrosion of contacts ect.

All in all no gems.
I did like the look of the type 'D' asymmetrical accutron but it would not start with a new battery, no hum nothing.
I figure it will still sell but for more than I would be willing to pay.
I am looking forwards to attending, not sure what I will be bidding on.
Do not want any run of the mill watch, would rather save for a more interesting item.
