Hi everyone,

I've a 2222.80.00 SMP Bond midsize

I'm thinking about changing my bond 18mm bracelet for a rubber or leather strap. I'd like a deployement clasp too.

Do you have any advices in particular about comfort, longevity, style...

Thanks in advance

Au revoir

Here is mine on an Omega blue rubber with Omega deployment, I love it, has held up great, downside, cost of strap and clasp over $300. I have just put a Hirsch blue carbon fiber strap with deployment on for a change of pace and love it too. Here is a link to see what the carbon fiber looks like. Good luck:001_smile:

G'day Johnno

I agree:thumbup1:

That rubber strap on your SMP is very comfortable indeed as is the black one with red stitching on a PO. I was advised by an AD that it is rubber-coated leather. I'd prefer to verify that with Omega of course but it may account for its' " softer " feel.

Have a nice day now :001_smile:

Thank you for your replies,

I surely like the carbon strap, never thought about it before. Is it resistant for an everyday use of the watch ?

See you.

Yes it is, it is even waterproof. It is quickly becoming my favorite strap on my omega, the white stitching on the navy blue works great with the seamaster face, but I do like them all (SS, rubber, carbon fiber). Check out ebay to find the strap and deployment stick with the Hirsch brand it is high quality, just be sure you have the correct lug width of your watch since it is midsize.
