 I did it, yesterday I received a call from my AD telling me that my "M" serial SS Daytona white face was in. I was there in about, lets see, 1/2 a second! I cannot even begin to say how much I love this watch after only 24 hours. I wasn't even sure I would be "lucky" enough to even own one. My AD got me this beauty after only 3 weeks of putting me on the "wait list"!:thumbup1:I now know why the Daytona is like a cult object to those who own. Anyone who is considering, I would highly encourage. This however will most likely be my last watch purchase, as it completes "my" Rolex sports package and may start my divorce hearing.:eek:hmy: I'll send some pics as soon as I can get some worthy of this sight, stiff competition out there. This is most definately a disease!

Again, congratulations! Don't worry about posting prize-winning photos....we're not that picky around these parts.

...of course, I've got an eBook on macro watch photography coming out in about 2 weeks which might help you. :D

Hi to all, thanks on the kind words. Will send pictures a little later, we had a little emergency with my daughter and some teeth "meeting" a tennis racket late yesterday,:crying: that obviously takes first place over watch picture taking.

Yikes!!!! Hope she's OK.. But, looking at the glass-is-half-full side, it could have been worse. Her teeth could have "met" the Daytona instead!! Double yikes!!!! :scared: :scared: :scared:

This entire watch thing is definitely a disease!

I've always loved watches, but I recently got into Rolex and bought 3 of them THIS MONTH! SS P Yacht Master, SS Submariner, and the 50th Green Submariner. Although I'm completely broke, I LOVE THEM ALL!!!:001_tt1:

John, did the AD give you the Daytona at retail???

She is fine, thanks for asking Scott, her teeth are another story, only 7 years old and now having dental work.:crying: If the teeth had "met" the Daytona, I feel the result would probably be the same, Daytona win, teeth loss. These things can take a lickin'.

Hi Nate, yes the AD sold at retail. I'm not sure, but I do not think they can go above retail as an AD, it would be against Rolex policy.

3 watches this month! WOW!! I have bought my last 3 in the last year, and I am in a big :cursing: with the wife! You did say 3 this month! Congrats, start enjoying them. Did he say 3 in one month? Holy :cursing:

Hey John.. Glad she's OK.. But what a heartbreaker.... I'll bet you that hurt you as much as her....
I think it hurt Mommy and Daddy much more than it hurt her. Little 4 yr old brother, who was swinging the racket, felt nothing.:eek:hmy:

The few benefits of being single, I guess and the love for great watches!

Also a settled a big case and got some mulah (although now it's all gone):001_smile:

The 50th Green I got as more of an investment than anything else, I probably will not be wearing that one any time soon.

BTW - what's the best way to keep your watches when you're not wearing them? Watch winder, or just have them sit in the box?
