Greetings all.

After frolicking in the snow yesterday, I awoke noticing water trapped behind the crystal on my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic. There appears to be no water in the timing mechanism - yet. It's my belief that the seal around the crystal was somehow damaged. I've hung the watch so the crystal faces down to prevent water from traveling into the timing mechanism. Does anyone have any suggestions about fixing this? I have yet to talk to an authorized Hamilton repairer - but as I purchased the watch at an online retailer, it's my belief that it has no official repair warranty.

I've provided some pictures to show the extent of the damage. My apologies on the poor quality.

I'd be exceedingly grateful for any advise.

Peace.
David

Thanks for the replies.

I unscrewed the back and let the water evaporate while using a blowdryer on low speed, high heat. The moisture has since disappeared. I'll be sending it to a watchmaker soon to have the seals replaced.

The Hamilton service centers are great! I brought my Khaki Field there after the crownstem snapped. They replaced it with the exact one & fixed it in a jiffy, and I never looked back. The gentleman remarked the crown that Hamilton's design of the crown is nice, but oversized.
