I admire Luminox' empathy and generosity. But, um, that tsunami was almost seven months ago and they're announcing a watch now???

Yes seven months ago but how long do you think it takes to design and build an new watch? I am actually impressed that they were able to release this from design to release within 7 months.. especially for a watch company. Think of it this way.. at the Basel watch show they actually show you the new watches... then we usually don't see those watches released until the fall... now that 's sad...

Anyway I finished the video review of this watch and you can see it here... it really is a nice everyday watch for the $ (at about 1/2 way thru the video I show a night shot of the watch with the Tritium gas tubes...very cool) and the idea the the profits at Luminox go to the Tsunami and earthquake victims in Japan is pretty cool...

Point well made. 7 months IS impressive, I must agree! Perhaps my judgement was a bit hasty. I'll be the first to admit I do not know all the steps that go into the designing of a watch.
