Hi, On ebay usa there is a bulova that loojs like a sky king. Up for auction ending next monday and bidding at $53.00. I shall try and post a pic.
The seller states that no it no longer ticks but cant suggest the reason why. There is a pic of the movement which looks filthy. The crown doesnt match the watch so that will need changing.
Assuming it is a sky king we could be looking at a sale price of around $400 to $500.
I am thinking of putting in a bid at around $ 175.00 and allowing another $150.on top for repair.
I have google this fault and just so many causes pop up I am none the wiser.
I am wondering whether this is a common problem with mechanical movements and whether the fault tends to be one or two specific problems.
I would appreciate guidance please. TIA. jack

Hi Hawk53, many thanks for that. There are only 4 pics including one of the back of the watch. It needs a new crown. I estimated $175.00 just incase it requires a service. Hopefully a clean might get it going as the movement looks terribly dirty. I am thinking of bidding around $150.00, given that you own one of these do you think that is enough for a non working model thanks jack

Thanks Mike, thats what I shall bid. Although this model looks very similar to the sky king it seems to be considerably cheaper, around $200 rather than $400 for the sky king. thanks again. jack
