The tuning fork symbol and the name "Accutron" have become synonymous with Bulova watches. Long after the true Accutrons were discontinued in 1977 Bulova continued to use that symbol on their watches. The only true modern tuning fork Accutron is the limited edition (1K units) 50 year 2010 Anniversary Accutron, which shares no parts with original Accutrons. All other Bulova watches have modern movements.
I think my confusion then came from Bulova offical website... they list Bulova and Bulova Accutron .. odd..
