I just recently purchased a new Invicta 4106 from a reputable seller on eBay. I didn't retain my invoice from eBay so I guess this is the same thing as not having a warranty. I've been pleased with the watch so far, but one day when I was looking at my watch I noticed the second hand seemed to skip from the top of the dial (12 position) to about the 3 position if I have the watch in a vertical position, and/or from the 3 to 6 positions as if there's play in the second hand. I've been collecting watches for over 20 years, and the only time I've seen something similar was on a watch I had that the second hand eventually came off it. I've taken the watch to a couple of watchmakers & I was told by one person that this is probably normal and it's a design flaw. The second person that looked at it told me I should send the watch to the Invicta service center as the hands on these watches are friction mounted (not sure what that means) and any adjustment to the hands would require a new set. Since I research things a lot, I searched for customer satisfaction issues and from what I've read people seem to be less than pleased with their service department. To get to the point, here are my questions: 1.) Is this normal for this model? If not, then would this possibly be resolved by replacing the hand? 2.)Is this watch so "exclusive" that it can only be serviced by Invicta, or should this be a simple repair by a watchmaker that can get parts for this watch? I noticed they charge $28. for shipping, and I'm not willing to take a chance as I know several other watchmakers that are better than the feedback I've read. I just figured I'd ask here first. Thanks for your time in reading my message.
