It reminds me of the Hamilton Day 'n Date models from the early 70's.
I like the case, but I'd nix the date magnifier and want a solid dial. I rarely look at the time from directly overhead...it's usually at a slight angle from the south. The bottom edge of the magnifier would be right in the middle of the date window. And the mesh dial really doesn't let you see the movement, making it more of a distraction than anything else.
