Despite having this watch for a few months, it's now correct and running:
It's a 1955 reference 2748-6 manual wind caliber 266:
At 36 mm wide, it's not only perfect for me, it's also nearly 2 mm wider than the average Omega watches of the era. It wasn't so hot when I bought it:
Nasty redial. No worries - thanks to a stock of parts at WatchCo in Australia there's a NOS dial on it now!
And I can keep the old bad redial for the markers - seems like there's a bit of a need for them in pink gold so it goes in the parts bin.
