Lots of great info at that site.
Mr.Bullandvodka is now the keeper of my former Hamilton Military.

I wonder why most of the military watches by Hamilton, Seiko, and others are relatively small diameters. . . 35-38 mm?

No clue.......

I guess to follow the trend of the 30/40/50's :confused1: I used to own a Helma (similar to the pic but, not the actual piece) circa 1945, issued to the German Army (Deutsche Heer markings) military watches are a fascinating charter in the horology map.....

Most were on the "larger" side for their time. It had to be larger and cleaner dial to tell the time quickly.

This is why I got this, my first, Hamilton. Its also why I switched the SS braclet for the strap; I though it had a more vintage military look. Yes, I know, I need to get better at taking pics.
