Supposing the Hamilton Watch Co. never left Lancaster and remained ,to this day, the only really big American Watch Mfg.
Do you feel?

1) That the designs and price points would be where they are now that the Swatch Group is calling the shots and holding onto the American heritage.

2)Would companies like RGM ,Bozeman, and the Montana watch Co. be around.

For some reason I think that history has done us a favor.

Good question, foggy.

IMHO, prices would be considerably higher for the quality of the old Hamilton in its heyday.
Instead of us posting multiple pix of the Hamiltons we own, it might be one or two at the most.

Perhaps the designs might be more updated versions of the classics that most of us love to see (and that a few of us actually own).

If Hamilton was still an American watch company, I would like to think that there would be more American watch companies because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And, it would prove that such companies could still make a go of it here.
