do you clean your Omega watches, and bracelets?

what procedure do you follow, water, soap, type of polishing cloth?

have you ever removed the bracelet and cleaned it separately?

your tips please:biggrin:

Just warm running water and soft cloth to polish amigo.

Some folk take the bracelet apart but can you imagine me doing that

I clean my watches almost every week with a polishing cloth and once a month with warm water. :thumbup1:

Once I removed the bracelet from a vintage Seamaster, since it can´t get wet, just to wash the bracelet.... it was veeeery dirty!!! :blushing:

Hi Terry,

If I'm actually wearing the watch (which will happen for at least a few hours every other day) it will get polished on average every ten minutes with my spectacles cloth I always carry with me. I seem to have some sort of OCD as far as this goes.:eek:hmy:

I also make a point of washing my water proof watches in clear water if I'm trying to keep them in mint condition (my Co-Axial AT and my Rolex) or when I take it in the shower when I'm not that bothered about the long term condition (my Brietling and my Seiko). Although these do get the hand wash in clear water treatment as well. My non-water proof watches (DeVille Jumping Hour, Girrard Perregauxs and Longines) just get a good polish when I wear them.

It's very important to me to have clean watches for some reason.

Hi Mike

I've noticed it can be slow at times. Possibly overloaded at server level would be my thoughts on the matter but in view of which it being a free service at non-professional level, I thought it best to take a philosophical approach :biggrin: It seems slower to load when I open it on Safari and definitely quicker on Firefox :001_rolleyes:

About once a month, or depending on how dirty it gets, I'll fill up a small tub of liquid dish soap (Dawn) and warm water. I'll let it soak for a minute or two and then use a soft toothbrush and brush the bracelet, caseback and around the bezel. You'd be surprised at how many suds this creates! I then rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth. This really works like a charm and gets it looking like new every time! :)

Indeed Rafael

It's amazing the amount of grit that can get in between the nooks and crannies of a bracelet. Just warm water or did you use something else on that occasion?

Hello Zin!!

Now that you asked, I remembered!! :thumbup1:

I used a little bit of detergent to wash the bracelet!! It really helps to get all the grit between the links! :001_smile:

Hey Rafael

You're putting me to shame.

I feel my almost daily water rinses are somewhat inadequate. Negligent even!!!:eek:hmy:

I will wash my diver's off one a week with water and a soft toothbrush all over with a tiny dab of soap.
after diving in salt water I may soak them for several days in fresh water to make sure all of the salt is gone..

I have used a water pik on the bracelets before, it's amazing what gets in there sometime:blink:
