I have just had the opportunity to pick up this vintage Constellation. The owner claims it is all original and has just had a service. What do you guys think? Is the dial all original? Is the case unpolished? Are all of the parts correct? And if possible, what would be a good ballpark price? Thank you!

It has an incorrect replacement crown, but that's not a big problem. Otherwise looks good - the 14.381 was supposed to have the caliber 551 inside, the dial has correct fonts and the crosshairs seem to go through the correct spots, and the case back medallion looks okay.

Haven't been here in awhile.

The crown is a good original. Not all Constellations had the preferred 10-sided crown. Most did, some didn't. This is one that didn't.

I've seen many with this exact same crown. Too many to say that they are all replacements.

Hope this helps,
