We all realize that the watch trend these days, and with Invicta in particular, is large sizes. When I say large I mean 45-55mm and bigger.

I recently received my largest watch ever at 50mm and although I liked the look and fit on my scrawny wrist, the size was so big (and thick) that I was worried about bumping and scratching it against other objects throughout the day. I simply had to be more aware and careful as I wore it.

Don't you folks think there comes a point where a watch becomes too large not only because of how it fits on the wrist but simply because it's awkward and bumps against everything?

My largest is the RD Quinotar Chrono. It's not a daily wearer for me because of the very reasons you list. I love the watch though and usually get good comments.

Was out with the guys at Hooters the other night wearing the RD Chrono and one of them said...

"Geesshhh Dave, why don't you just put a clock with a chain on it around your neck"

43mm its perfect, more than 43mm is too big.

I'm sorry but that is inaccurate. 43mm is perfect for some but not for all. I have an 8 1/2 inch wrist and 43mm would simply look too small on me. However 47-55+ is fine for me. . . and while I know there are limits I've not worn a watch yet that was simply too big.

However, watch size like fine clothing should fit the individual. One size should not fit all

The 360 - 49mm

Subaqua - 50mm+

Nixon 51-30 - 51mm

I bought on Ocean Ghost, on-line, last year and returned it because it was too big (47mm). I think 45 would be the biggest I would go, with my 6.5 inch wrist.

I think Elliot's pics sum it up... one size does NOT fit all. Those large watches fit him very well, wheras I have two 47mm watches, and that's about as big as I can wear.

Lol . . I'd love to see you walk up to a big man comfortably wearing a 55mm watch and tell him that he should wear red hair and a round red ball nose.

*snicker*

I saw a larger person trying on one of those humongous Cordubas at the mall.
It still looked way too big despite his size.
It's all personal preference.

This makes me think of which SINGLE Invicta would be the 'sweet spot watch' catering for both the large and smaller wrists.

In my humble opinion I think perhaps the Speedway reserve might be that. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it was too big or too small:

I believe it's all personal preference; many variables involved! For me the max so far is 47mm (I doubt if I would try anything larger) and at that the guys at work said I could put it in a sock and use it as a weapon!

Personal preference, true, but you have to be able to pull it off naturally. I was in a store killing time a few days ago, and the sales lady kept putting these giants on my wrist, saying "But BIG is the style these days" and these things looked totally stupid on me, it just wasn't natural. It's like seeing gold front teeth!

Invicta makes gold teeth? I'm all over that! Hopefully they'll match my bracelet. . . . Hey wait a minute . . Are those teeth plated?

I had an RD and that was huge. I liked it but too big.

BTW anybody ever notice that the Invicta wings look like Breitling?
I did notice that, but it's just one of the things Invicta does that look similar to other brands, e.g. The 8926, 9937, speedways, monsters, aussies, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum...
