I am not selling it, just pointing out that many "sold out" items are purchased for resale and profit.

$1399.00. Reminds me of the Host Pick Renato of last year.

Yup, I've seen a few of the meteorite OG III's that 'sold out' during the sales now on ebay for huge profits. Doesn't help either now that the price is back to the regular price which is highly inflated... I saw one go for almost twice what I paid for mine..

You gotta wonder......
Looks like it had no takers.
I find that most OTV watches with few exceptions have a "pie in the sky" retail price. The alleged "discount" price is closer to the true worth and even that can be far greater then true worth. JMHO
True. Invicta's retail pricing has little to do with street sales

I think it pretty cool that someone would invest in one of these for the possibility of making a profit. But here is what I would be thinking if it were me. He has a decent ad, but when you say it "sold out quickly"(paraphrasing), it was with a live showing on tv with very good sales people. The watch in not my cup of tea, but for those who like that kind of thing, those couple of photos don't do it justice. Also, he is taking a risk doing this with only 109 transactions. Kind of weak for someone wanting to spend that much money.

And I am not a fan of the "big high or bid rediculous" theory of Ebay pricing. I guess it must work sometimes.

Like Datsun said, no takers on this round. Lets see what changes he makes the second go around.

edit: OH just realized that this is the first thing this guy has sold in over 2 years.
Looks like the guy even stole Jim's pictures:cursing:

I noticed that too. Jim does not mind people using his photos as long as they are attributed to him. This guy just plain stole them. A complete lack of manners and class IMO.:glare:

True... But that network only ships within the USA, and when you live somewhere else, you don't have much choice than going through ebay...
