Help with new new (to me) Longines

Just picked up a vintage Longines and I can't find much info about. Where does Longines locate the serial number? Any idea what the lever at the 6 o'clock position is used for? Any info about the watch would be helpful.

Thanks

Barry

Welcome and what you got there is a Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle watch. In the mid-1930s, the Longines-Wittnauer watch company marketed a line of watches designed in collaboration with Charles Lindbergh and P. V. H. Weems. The Hour Angle Watch sped computations for determining celestial lines of position. Its bezel and dial allowed navigators to read off the hour angle of a celestial object at Greenwich, eliminating a simple but troublesome calculation.
Any idea why mine has a lever that locks the outer bezel at the 6 o'clock? All the others I've seen on the internet don't have that lever.
Don't know but take it to a trusted I mean a Trusted watchmaker. And and see what you what u got. Check ur PM .
