Hello all

New member here from England. I wonder if anyone could help me?

I have a small ladies watch with the name ' Beuche Girod' on its face. It is a Quartz and the movement just says 'one jewel...unadjusted.. France'

I dont know how to tell if it is a genuine one, and if anyone can advise me , it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bueche-Girod

Bueche-Girod was located in Geneva. I think they used to manufacture watches for Mercedes, and some other prestigeous Automobile companies.
Are there any marking besides what you have posted?
Does this piece appear to have real Gold?

Just 'Swiss made' I cant see anything to denote gold of any type.

"Swiss Made" meaning it is definetely of Swiss origin, and not something made somewhere else with false lettering to decieve.

It's hard to tell from the small picture.
Honestly, this brand made some very fine watches at one point.
I believe they went out of business in 2002 or 2003.
That particular watch might be from the late 70's and its worth is unknown to me.
You might try a reputable dealer in your area that can at least determine whether it is real gold. Other than that, it is a simple quartz movement.

But, I am no expert on the brand, so there is no telling what might be.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
