Hi,
I have a watch I wanted to try and identify down to exact model and check it is not fake. Its an Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000. Seems fine to me though I have a niggling concern! I'm going to get it opened up to be sure but can any Omega experts take a look for me? TIA!

Looks good - it's a reference 366.0825 which was introduced in 1972. It should have a caliber 1012 inside. Verify this when you have the case back off, and show us a pic of the inside of the case back and movement. The serial number on the caliber will tell us exactly what year it's from.

Thanks will do. The thing that concerned me was lack of marking on the rear cover?
Most older Omegas don't have anything engraved on the outside of the caseback. All the good stuff is inside!

Exceptions are the higher line Omegas, like Constellations, Seamaster, Speedmasters, etc.

Hope this helps,
