While this is not really that old, I have always thought that it had a 50's look and resembled a TV set. . .
I believe that the Everest was an electric Hamilton, an update of the Vantage. And I think in the late 50's or early 60's, it was a homage to the shape of a television. Since I don't have my history books on the watches YET, anyone who knows more, please add to the thread by jumping in.
