Are these watches worth getting cleaned up and serviced? If not, I'd rather sell them and contribute towards the Rolex fund :)

I'm trying to get these serviced only if it would increase their value considerably since I didn't put a lot into them. Like I mentioned, my ultimate goal is a Rolex. :)

Also if anyone could recommend a dependable watchmaker near Hackensack, NJ that would be grand.

The simple answer is...it depends. Do they currently run? How much will a watchmaker charge? What is your sales plan or customer base?

They are both nice examples of their ilk. If they are running and you don't have a regular watchmaker, it may not make sense if your plan is quick resale anyway. I suspect the penalty for an unserviced watch is less that than gain for a serviced watch but the market can be a bear to predict.
