I picked up this pocket watch at an antique store yesterday while traveling in Austin Texas. Of late I have become interested in vintage pocket watches and this looked interesting when I saw it in the store. Unfortunately, my knowledge of watches is very limited
It is not working and the movement seems to be in rough shape. I am hoping I might be able to get it repaired when I get back home.
I have been trying to find some information on this watch through google searches with no luck at all. Searching for the name "Granby" is not really coming up with much. On the movement it is stamped "gothic watch company." I am not having much luck doing searches for that either.
Does anyone on the forum have any insight into what this watch is, its age, any history, is it a decent watch, or if it is american/swiss made?
