I too take good care of my watches (other than work beaters) and I have not had any problem at all with the gold plating on my Invictas.
Also, the Invicta's I own with gold plating are on the lower end so that should give you some confidence knowing they do a good job even on those.

The only problem I can say is, the gold on my watches are very highly mirror polished and that looks very nice! But with that high of polish it is inevitable that you will get some scratches. This however, would be true with solid gold polished at this level. I also have not had a problem with scratches being deep enough to be through the plating and expose the SS under.

Hope this is helpful to you.

I find the yellow gold on Invicta watches to very good. No problems. I recommend it. BUT, the rose gold is another story. Every rose gold Invicta that I own has the rose rub off, leaving the yellow underneath. But not in a uniform manner. Resulting in a watch that is part yellowish and part rose. I've stopped buying Invicta Rose Gold no matter how tempted. I have a Croton rose gold watch, and that one is fine. I polish it the same way I do my Invictas. I do like to polish my watch as I sit in front of the TV. I use a gold jewelry polishing cloth.

Does anyone else have Invicta rose gold problems?

My wife liked the rose gold so I got her one. She wears it a little more than I would recommend wearing a plated watch and she has had not problems.:thumbup1: But, with what you are reporting I am thinking about warning her about this (as she does like it) and tell her it may not be a good idea to wear it often as a beater if she wants it to stay looking good.

Thanks for the warning, in fact I am going to go take a good look at it now! lol

I do have one Invicta of my own that the rose gold is in the face and I do like it however it looks more like copper than rose gold. At it is protected in the face I am not worrying about it.

Did a quick pic with point and shoot. What appears as scrathes is acctually lint from clothe.

Rose Gold in face looks more like copper.

Speedway with gold plating over a year old. Plating holds up real good!

Hope this helps answer your questions.
