Hi Steve,
I have a couple two tone and complete gold watches and I have had no problems. I do take care of my watches however it is impossible to avoid getting scratches on your watch. But with the light scratches I have on my watches there is no silver showing through. I have a gold tone Speedway that has the Daytona style strap that I ended up scratching quite deeply and still no silver was showing so I would assume with the gold layering that Invicta does as opposed to gold plating it must be a better process. Hope this helps.

I have never had an Invicta rose gold but I did have a Triumph rose gold watch and I did have problems with that watch. I too will never buy a rose gold watch and not just because of that. I don’t like the color of rose gold, yellow gold looks much better.
