So I scratched the heck out of the underside of the lugs on my favorite watch.
Half full: Since it's the underside you can't see it when worn.
Three quarters full: If I ever decide to sell it in a moment of weakness, I'll have to fully disclose the scratches, and I probably won't get an offer that is good enough to make me sell it.
So, to summarize, my favorite watch now has scratches that will prevent me from selling it, but that don't detract from it when worn.
The watch? My Oris Dizzy Gillespie.
I have never had such trouble with a strap change - this is the first time I've scratched lugs, and boy did I do a good job of it!
