While I waiting for my B19 I went ahead and picked up a used Combat B1 this week. It was a good decision! The B1 should be different enough from the B19 that I can justify owning both of them. This is also the first time I have bought a use watch. While its not perfect, the little imperfection are easy to over look when I reflect on the price I paid. I very nearly went for one of the demo B17 but came across this one before I clicking the order button. One thing that I couldn't figure out is how to set the time to the second, the small second doesn't stop when setting the time. Other than that I think it fits my six-ish inch wrist nicely and the nato is comfortable.

Anyway... to the pictures.

Man it is hard to take lume shots

Nice find... love the B1 hands.

Oh the movement used does not have a so called hacking function.
So that indeed means your seconds keep ticking when you have pulled the crown.

Thanks. I figured it doesn't have a hacking function. I know on some other non-hacking movements that you can slightly rotate the crown counter clockwise and it would stop but I guess not this one. I find myself not really caring. The small second goes largely unnoticed when I look at the time. Winding is particularly cool for what ever reason. It just sounds and feels so mechanical and solid. I love the watch and am looking forward to another Lum Tec this summer.

As a side note, the B1 came with the black nato strap that could use a cleaning. Whats the best way to clean up a nylon strap?
