Does anyone treat the leather strap with bees wax to protect it from mildew, mold?

Is there any treatment that will protect the leather and prolong the life of the leather strap ?

If you really feel the need to treat your straps, either go to a shoe store for a can of mink oil or any sporting goods store that sells any of the products for waterproofing hunting boots.

I don't expose my straps to extreme humidity or weather conditions, so I don't bother with that sort of thing.

Don't use mink oil. It can rot the stitching and darken the leather, permanently.

For a safe beeswax-based protectant, use Obenauf's LP. You can find it online. Great stuff.
