The main difference is the movement. The 16030 takes a cal 3035 and the 16220 a cal 3135.
These two movements are NOT interchangeable.
The 16220 is the next generation DJ after the 16030.
The 16030 a plastic crystal and 16220 a sapphire but both are quick set dates.
The 16030 has through holes in the lugs and the early 16220's (like mine 1991) through holes but changed to no through holes about 1993?
I would show a photo of my 16220 but it has an after market crystal with a weaker cyclops eye so don't want to be accused of having a fake.
