When the TV show 60 Minutes originally launched, the stopwatch used was a Heuer (predessor to Tag Heuer). When people called the network to find out where they could buy it, they were sent one free for being a viewer. It became so popular that the network had to start using a cheaper brand stopwatch within a few years.

I actually have one although it was a gift, not a freebee. It is about 33 years old and the only service was a new crystal about 7 years ago.

No kidding. No a days, they would send you a bill for using their operator instead of using the automated system......
And a bill for the translation service at the offshored callcenter as you probably won't get an operator speaking English.... :mellow: :glare:
