I was wondering what the most popular metal choices are for those who have or desire to buy the Day-Date?

1. Yellow Gold
2. Rose/Pink Gold
3. White Gold
4. Platinum

Most of the DD's I see are yellow gold. Personally, I think I would probably choose the White Gold but might like the Platinum if I could afford it. What about you?

If all things were equal, I'd go pick the rose gold. I really like the slightly less 'flash' compared to the yellow, and I'm not a fan of all platinum or white gold...

But if you're looking for birthday ideas for me, I'd take any of them...  :thumbup1:

I just love my WG :001_rolleyes:

That's a beautiful watch--I like the powder blue dial and the roman numerals. Unfortunately, I don't have the money for platinum but I have considered it "achievable" to buy the white gold version at some point. I haven't seen the platinum version of the Day-Date in person, although I have even worn platinum watches from other brands. But I think the white gold version you have is fantastic. I think I will get it with either a silver or white dial--at least I hope to get one. . . :001_smile:

I wasn't aware you could get the Glacier Blue dial in anything other than Platinum. Hannes, that is a stunner! That watch just emits an unbelievable amount of class!

If fortune smiled upon me I'd get nothing less that the platinum with the glacier blue dial. Nothing but the best for my "fortune". BTW, that ratty dollar bill is about what I'd have left over after buying the watch :D

My understanding is the powder blue dial in many countries is only available with the platinum, but that in some countries, they will a allow you to buy it and put it on say, the white gold version. This is one reason that if I were to be able to afford the white gold, I would choose either the silver or white dial, because I live in the US. Given how the Internet works, it might be that someone here can share with us where it might be possible to buy the powder blue dial.

Manncub: very nice wg! I have to admit, I like the platinum too, but i have adjusted my sights to the "more realistic" wg. Yet, that powder blue dial keeps nagging at me! (Will I never be satisfied?) Anyway, congratulations as you ALREADY have a WG DD. Thanks for the photo.
