Hello all
I have a question about the date mark on the back of my 18k 218. It is marked M7 and along side that there is an N2. Can someone explain this.
thanks

Others more knowledgeable will respond but I believe what you have is a case made in the original year but not fitted with a movement and shipped until the second year stamp. That is quite a spread, though.

Double dating is most common on solid gold cases that were made by outside foundries and ordered in small quantities. The minimum order was greater than what Bulova could sell in a short time.
