Both watches are rated at 300m, one costs 3 times more than the other. The cockpit has 41mm dial (on the paper), looks definitely smaller than the 40mm LT, thanks to the sapphire bezel. For those of you are still on the sideline, try to determine 40mm is too small or 45mm is too big, just like I did few month ago, these shots I took two nights ago should settle you down.

Another shot from the side

One more, and this is why the breitling is on my winder more often than ever

I don't care for the particular Breitling, but I have to say comparing these two is a bit too apples to oranges for me. The Breitling is a bit of a gentlemans divers watch, the Lum-Tec is more of a tool watch. A better comparison would be the 45.5mm Planet Ocean to the 45mm 300M-1XL.

As I have said since I got my 300M-1 back in December, it is arguably the best looking Lum-Tec to date and certainly better looking than the Breitling in the photo. Here is my M-1 beside my Omega 42mm Planet Ocean. My PO is perhaps my favorite watch, but the M-1 sure looks good beside it. The Lum-Tec M-1 is a great watch! Cheers, Bill P.

Now THAT is a decent apples to apples comparison! IMO, the 42mm PO is one heck of a nice watch, and as much of a tool watch as the 40mm Lum-Tec beside it. Thanks for the pic!

^The only thing I actually prefer about the Seamaster is the dial marking being raised, I wonder is it very costly for marking to be raised either through the use of a pressed dial or what has been done by Omega here?

Thanks Bill - this is also extremely helpful for gauging the size of the 300M. I've worn a PO before and this picture gives me a lot more confidence that I made the right call with the 300M-4 I have on order.

You can see the similarities between the bracelets of the two here. I like my 300M, and I like my PO. The 300M definitely gives you more bang for the buck!
