I have looked on google but this is of no help. Would you guys happen to know whether this Is an expensive part and repair. TIA, jack

I agree with AnimalChin. That is a 'Senator' from the mid 1940's and i know because i have one from 1944. That 8AH movement is a bit fragile. I've got two spare parts movements here both with sub-seconds intact and the posts are very short. The sub-seconds hand in your photo seems to be positioned properly so is he sure its a broken post? Personally i think if he was advertising it as a 1910 model I would be questioning the vendor....

Finding the part is easy and I'd send you one of my parts movements. Getting someone to take the movement apart and install it in Spain might be a challenge though. Cost would likely be around $150 given that if you are dismantling the movement to replace the seconds post you might as well have it cleaned & re-assembled. I'm not convinced that the post is actually broken though. That's difficult to do given how short they are.

The dial is in much better condition than mine is so it is interesting but if you have to repair the watch and cant do it yourself, it will end up costing more than its worth.
