Okay-- time for me to get serious.

Specific to the watch shown here, I'd appreciate any comments on things you see in terms of Franken substitutes, if there's anything here that would lead you to think it a fake, and overall observation.

Second, and possibly even more important, I'm looking for some help in terms of understanding the "Precision" line. I'm looking for a thinner-cased watch from the late 1950s, so probably not an automatic. What was the time period for the Precision? What demographic did it target? What do you all think of this model of watch in general?

Thanks! :thumbup1:

It might just be me, but it seems that the dial itself is not properly aligned. This is not to say that it is a fake. Time and wear could really pull a beating on a watch and ultimately may move the dial or other circumstances due to wear can cause certain things that from factory are not up to par.

Thanks; exactly the sort of feedback for which I was hoping.

Do seem to recall mention that the dial had been refinished. Asked for photos of the dial, and was promised some, but the Easter holiday may have held that up. At any rate, the watch didn't sell.
