I'm a newbie here, but I bought a Date Adjust (Silver) approximately 11 years ago and very seldom wear it. But recently the White face dial changed color to Copper. It's kind of odd--Where the hands were stopped it looks like if you were wearing sun glasses and got a sunburn.

Any suggestion or reason behind this? I'm assume that the warranty is already gone and what is the avg. cost to replace the dial then?

Date Adjust = Datejust ??

Here in Germany a set of dial and hands for the Datejust would cost ~170,- € (~200,- $)

Hard to say what happened, but that estimate Hannes gave sounds about right. Maybe less if you can source a dial and hands and then just take somewhere and have it changed.

Do have the watch checked out to make sure the discoloration didn't come from water/moisture getting inside the watch.

My addition to John's suggestion is to wear it and don't take it off!! By the way Hannes, isn't 170 euro more like $10,000.00 now?

Thanks for the input..We moved from warm and dry San Francisco to Wisconsin..Yikes..Could be a moisture problem in that case I assume.
