New to the forum, hi guys.

I'm getting back into watch collecting, I ran across some very inexpensive manual wind Russian watches. Knowing zero about them, I took a chance as they would look nice in the case if they didn't work. To my surprise, all of them work and keep accurate time.

I'll post them up as I get around to wearing them.

Movement is in a fully working condition, recently serviced, cleaned and oiled. Keeps good time. The dial is signed: POBEDA, 1st Moscow Watch Factory im. Kirova. Case diameter with/without crown is 35 mm/32 mm, the dial 28 mm, from lug to lug 42 mm, thickness 11 mm.

Overall watch condition is good for its age. Movement is in a fully working order, recently serviced, cleaned and oiled. Keeps good time. The dial is signed: POBEDA. Case diameter with/without crown is 32/30 mm, dial 26 mm, from lug to lug 37mm, thickness 9 mm.

Wonder how rare they really are, can't say I have ever done any research on Russian watches. Shame the seller didn't get one of the Ukrainians to make a new case for it. Keep us up to date on these, they are interesting and something different we don't see everyday.

Words like vintage and rare are thrown around alot in descriptions....I don't know how rare these are in Russia, but they're the first I've seen in East TN! I just think they're cool.

80s POLJOT square case with alarm

Here's an unusual manual wind alarm watch. Very cool, vibrates like a "Cricket", the watch I would love to add to my collection.

I don't have a clue about these watches. I've heard they built some for export, but the Cold War made direct trade with the US a no-no. I had one of the first quartz watches ever made for export to the US after the wall fell and gave it to a friend. Wish I had made pictures, it was a canteen style watch with one of the most efficient ugly movements I ever laid eyes on.

This one was a gift from me to my bro in law, he handed it back to me recently looking worse than any watch I'd ever seen! I wish I'd taken before pics, but I got it back presentable and running well.
I have three more of these NOS in the boxes, bought them all in the 90's on a whim. I can't even remember where I got them.
Manual wind, screw down crown with rubber gaskets and o-rings. Bezel turns. About as generic a movement as I've seen :biggrin: cool markings, caseback is indexed to the case but the logo and text is stamped mis-aligned.

Case diameter with/without crown is 39mm/37mm, the dial 34 mm, from lug to lug 42 mm, thickness 10 mm.

Modern (90s) Russian Watch

I started posting these chronologically, so I'll continue. This one is more modern.

So far, my chief complaint with these watches is getting a band on one. This canvas strap got shredded on one end getting it on this watch! Almost no clearance between the pins and the watch body. I don't know if this one originally had a bracelet, or the owner used a scarf to wear it?:laugh:

Last one in my collection. This was a fun and inexpensive way to expand my collection, and learned a great deal in the process. I'm normally an Accutron hound, but have appreciation for all things horologically
