You've put some money aside, perhaps even disposed of something in your collection to make way for the next acquisition. You walk into your AD or are about to place an order for it when you spot something else that you'd like.

Has this ever happened to you?

It did in a way to me, back in the middle of September 2005. Ben had just bought John's Great White SMP GMT as I recall and posted some very nice pictures of it. John as you know has reviewed both this and the GMT Noir. Then I saw some very attractive lume shots by Keith Dowling on TZ and that did it for me so I ordered it, a day before I was due to attend a wine tasting. Following the event, I wandered into a dealer who was new to me in the Bond St area and saw the Blue 42.2mm AT. The way the light reflected off the brushed surface of the dial got me hooked immediately. The dealer suggested I cancel the order for the GMT but I had already ordered it and a pledge is a pledge.

Well pals - ever experienced something like this?

Let's talk soon :thumbup1:

y'all have a nice day now :001_smile

sorry Mr Houston,

:):)

I became enthralled in Mike's GMT and forgot to answer your question..

recently I ( not so innocently) went into a local AD with the sole purpose of meeting an AT ( 2502.50 ) face to face.
My attention was quickly averted by a 45mm Planet Ocean with black bezel and all white numbers... if the AD had offered more than 12% off I may have left with the monster.:lol: I had never even considered a P.O. before really, I was surprised

A PO would be very nice Pal

When I tried the 42mm over 2 yrs ago it felt big but of late seeing the 45mm on a friend's wrist, it looked fine. I have to say the thought of 45mm on my wrist seems much to big but I'll need to check it out. There are a list of other Omegas ahead of the PO though.

Be seein' ya pal :001_smile:

A true gentleman Zin...
Thanks Pal.

If you recall the Great White was already a discontinued item then so my regular dealer had to hunt it down for me. It wouldn't have been fair to turn him down so I saved and sold the Electric Blue which by then I was hardly wearing anyway.

Have a good w/e pal :001_smile:

It kind of happened to me today. I went to my new friendly AD to see if they had receive their 42 mm Black PO. I'm just curious to try them. The one I'm aiming at is a Speedmaster BA /GMT with black face. As I was talking with the lady, I tried a BA Speedmaster 1957 chrono. I have to say, it's lot better in person than on picture.

Now I don't know anymore. :confused1:

A couple of members have displayed their BA 1957 for us Mr Symtech, namely Madmac and DonnyB. If you look into the members' gallery here or indeed in the 4Ever Gallery in our ole' house you'll see them. I like the looks of the BA 1957 but in thinking Speedy would tend to go for the Pro version. Some folk never change :001_rolleyes:

:lol::lol::lol:

Be well now :001_smile:
