I can't decide between the IWC Portuguese Black Steel Automatic 7day Power Reserve (IW500109) and the IWC Limited Edition F.A. Jones White Dial in Steel (IW544203)?

The Port. Auto with it's 7 day power reserve is one of my favorites. The FA is equally nice, but in this case to me the Port Auto gets a slight nudge.... :thumbup1:

I agree w/ Scott I'm partial to the 7day. With that being said I also think it depends what you want it for. To me the FA is more of a dressier watch where as the Auto is more of an everyday watch.

He actually already owns a Panerai Luminor Marina PAM104, a few Raymond Weils, & Oris BC3 with steel bracelet. He loves IWC watches and this will be his first one. I'm wondering if the style of the IWC Automatic Portuguese 7day PR is too similar in appearance to the Panerai he already owns...
It will actually be a wedding gift.

I believe yours is the platinum version. I was looking at the steel version with blue (appears almost black) arabic numbers and dials. Will the "blue" detract from the beauty of this watch?

Also,... is there an IWC F.A. Jones watch that is STEEL with a white dial and BLACK arabic numbers? Nearly all the FA Jones StEEL watches I've seen are with blue numbers and dials.

I don't think either look anything like a Panerai. I have the IWC Auto 7day PR white face w/ blue hands and at first I was wishing they wer black as well, but now I love the look of the blue hands.
