Oh dear :001_rolleyes: Most watches (that work) do exactly what you posted. I want to see a pic of the movement that is inside your watch along with the inside of the case back.

That's the problem... the caseback of a modern A.Lange & Sohne is a sapphire exhibition back that you look through to see the movement... they are NOT Cheap metal screw-downs with laser-etching! I mean, get real! MSRPs are on the far side of $25,000+ each!

And speaking of the case back, I'm shockeded to see "SWISS MADE'' etched into it when Lange's manufacture is proudly located in Glashutte, Germany!

@Zululu- Keep the watch as a memento of your grand-father, but don't embarrass yourself by wearing it in public!
