Hello, I'm looking for some help dating this Hamilton Ladies Watch I just purchased at an auction. It came in the original box and has a handwritten note inside that reads "Hamilton 997 Grade 17 Jewels Movement L.124912 case - 392721". I looked at the Hamilton numbers charts online and it seems maybe 1900-1901, but I know basically nothing about watches and want to be sure. Thank you in advance for any help.

That is a beautiful example of a Margot first cataloged in 1938. It was only available in 1938 and 1939 as it does not appear in the 1940 catalog. Here is the 1938 catalog page where it first appeared.
