It looks to me like a midsize Bond Chronometer. Pre-coaxial design. The He release valve looks to be in the right place...

If you email Omega aftersales, they'll gladly verify a serial number and tell you the specific model and date of manufacturer. Of course, that's of no use unless you obtain a picture of the serial number on the watch to validate the serial number you were given.

Best bet would be to take it to an AD and have them verify it for you. Some will do this, others will not. Also, some will charge, and others will do it for no charge if they have time.

I am not familiar with Omega's serial numer scheme, so I can not comment there.

:) It's really hard to tell from a pic Mr Fal,

like Wally said, the HE valve looks like it's off like it's supposed to be.

serial looks like sometime 05 my guess, don't think it is a co-axil.

like was suggested, call NJ or write [email protected] and ask about the validity of the serial number. and can you get more pics?

good luck,

It's certainly not the Co-Axial SMP fellas. You'll remember that the Co-Axial has the Seamaster legend in red along with the Co-Axial legend in the volume of writing at 6 o'clock, the more prominent markers and longer hands.

Best to send the SN to Bienne.

Any box or papers with it Mr FALGuy?

I could be wrong my friend but that's a lot of money for a mid-size non-Co-Axial Bond. I would have thought more like this side of $1200. I take it that no B&P means it's pre-loved so would you know how old it is please?

:)

in a picture I can't tell if it's mid or full size, how can you tell?

Mr Fal didn't mention what the size was so you folks must be spotting something that gives it away, what is it?

I've see mid-size going for under $1000 not long ago..

Well Terry

I think it's just the size of case of the watch relative to the bracelet. I think it's more apparent in the second picture where the case seems awfully small.

I could be wrong of course :001_rolleyes:

Well I'll be but the watch in that second picture which you posted Mr FALGuy sure looks different to the first one. To me it's apparent in the sale posting too but it's seemingly the same watch :001_rolleyes:

I still think it's overpriced my friend.

Be well now

Not co-axial movement. (Zin gave details about this earlier)

Is full-size. The key is the little piece of the three o'clock marker next to the date window. On the mid size, there is no room for this little piece of marker, and the window itself makes do as the marker.

Authenticity of this piece from photos is impossible. The pictures appear to be of a genuine watch, but many fakes look good from a few feet away... And there is no guarantee that the pictures are of the watch you will receive from the seller!!!

Price is OK, but high without documentation and the boxes. If all was included, it would be fair, but not spectacular.

Keep looking. For a pre-owned Bond, they are quite plentiful... Many trade-ins on the new Planet Ocean as well, so they will be available for many years to come too.

Great watch by the way (when confirmed genuine)...
