The scammers are out in force! I'm vetting vintage watches for a couple newer collectors and I've been sent links to dozens of frankens and false claims in listings. One seller even made the mistake of showing two different watches! While similar, the hands, indices, date window, cyclops, lume, and lugs are different:

:eek:hmy: :cursing::cursing::cursing:

He also sent the guy I'm helping with this a picture of a movement that isn't his because I recognize it from another site.

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE ask somebody with experience before you buy!

And after you buy it send it to me for some personal verification!! :w00t:

Sorry, didn't mean to might light of a serious topic. I know I would hate to see any of our members scammed. If you are worried that if you do post info requesting help that someone else might jump in then do it via PM to one of the mods. Even if we are not an expert we may be able to point to to someone who is trustworthy and knowledgable who could help.
