This 254 module has a rare (Day of the Week Function). This is from an ebay posting below: Could the 1-5 be part of the Day of the Week function?

As for the one-button operation of the Bulova 254 module, the way it works is, you press the button a few times in rapid succession, and that causes it to go into the setting modes; then, every few seconds, it will switch through all the setting modes, automatically...numeric month, numeric day, day-of-the-week, hours, and minutes. At each step, press the button as needed, to advance any of the functions, and then finally, leave it alone for a couple of seconds, and the watch will exit the setting modes, all by itself...really cool, the way the setting modes work

Well, with all my searches of known LED sites, I have no clue what that 1-5 setting deal is. So if it were me I would do 4 things.

1. Hope that someone on this site with that exact watch will see your thread and respond.
2. Visit this all Digital watch forum Newdwf.com Link and ask them. If anybody would know, they would. (FYI: I looked over the 22 pages of threads there and I didn't see anything about a Computron 254 but it wouldn't hurt to ask in a new thread).
3. Contact this seller on ebay Ebay Seller Sold Listings Link and ask him. He sold one in Feb and sells several LED watches so he may be a collector with some knowledge and not a Flipper. He seemed to know the inner workings of the 254 he sold.
4. Since the 1-5 doesn't seem to effect the 12 month calendar, just forget its there and set the watch. If it's truly a big deal with setting the watch, you will find out soon enough. Otherwise, you may never know that weird setting exists and the watch will perform normally.

I did a deep dive into Digital Watch Forum and I opted against starting a thread there because that place feels very dead, especially for these vintage pieces... unless there's someone particular who's active there? Thanks again!
I agree that the DWF has slowed alot in the past few years. If there is anybody that visits that forum to read topics, its a person with a Digital watch and that is why I would post your question there if you feel the need to. There may not be alot of chat going on but the Digital watch folks still view it so if a good tech question does come up that can be answered it will be. No guarantees it will get answered but its one option to try. I have belonged to that site for years but haven't posted in a long time. I really don't follow LED watches much anymore even though I own a few examples.

*****If you find the answer, please post it here. It would educate all of us!!!!:thumbup1:

I will only throw in two observations.

1. Just because that 1-5 digit deal is lit up and cycling when you are flipping through the months "Doesn't' mean its suppose to actually be there. I have owned 20+ LED watches and I have had some very weird digits light up when they weren't suppose to. I was able to confirm the oddities through good instructions with Pulsar and also I had another watch just like it for comparison, which leads me to #2.

2. In this thread Khatfull appears to have purchased a N7 Computron. Khatfull Computron Linkl. If in fact he was able to set his without issue as he claims and its the same 6 digit 254 module, why not ask him on that thread or PM him and ask him if that 1-5 digit deal is on his watch while setting it. If its on both his and your 254 modules then its meant to do something? Right? But if its not then it may be a module 'error issue'?
