Because of the nature of the Physical Vapor Deposition process, molecules of bronze will bond with molecules of the base metal. This makes the pvd coating extremely resistant to oxidation. Assuming you don't become The Bionic Man and live another 150 years, the coating should outlast you. But that's not saying pvd is totally oxidation-proof. Certain harsh chemicals, for instance, will make it tarnish. This is something you'll want to talk about with the sales rep if you decide to go in that direction.
