Hi,

I have a problem with a Seiko watch with a quartz movement, it appears something has broken inside so now when I turn the winder the second hand spins very fast with it, however, the hour and minute hand do not turn at all. Can anyone tell me why this might be?

I am not a beginner, so should able to sort it myself if I know the cause of the problem. As far as I'm aware I haven't done anything to it other than remove the winder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi- I cloned your post and a copy is now over at The Japanese and Asian Forum. Our Seiko aces should see it there and respond.

They might ask for photos...if you can toss them a few, it'd be great.
Thanks and good luck.
